PLAYER PROFILES
Andy McDonald (Gk) - Goalkeeper signed by player manager Paul Byrne last season from Lisburn Distillery where he spent five seasons. He is the clubs first choice keeper.
Jason McAuley - Reserve keeper. Jason is an Englishman who was previously with Dungannon Swifts. Very able back-up keeper, who is challenging for a regular first team spot.
Paul McAtee (RB) - Paul is a regular in the side and plays on the right hand side of the defence. Great at getting forward to support the midfield.
Paul Bradley (CB) - Paul plays at the heart of the defence and has gained a regular spot. He is the comrades main free-kick taker. (Currently sidelined with a knee injury)
Paul Byrne (CB) - 36 year old player manager. First taste of management after playing for Glenavon for 15 years. Still an active player where he can play either centre back or centre midfield.
Robbie Budden (CB) - Robbie is a 19 year old centre back and has gained himself a regular spot under manager Paul Byrne after coming up through the reserves league.
Paul Caldwell - 20 year old central defender or right-back who was previously captain of Linfield's youth team. Signed in September 1999. Has become regular right-back this season, in McAtee's absence, producing steady displays.
Gary Burns - 20 year old central defender, who is on the fringe of the first team squad. Reserve team captain, he is the brother of Ronald Burns.
Ricki Culbertson - Signed in February 2001 from Ballymena United. He is a left side midfielder or defender. Started his career with Swindon Town, in England, before returning to sign for Ballymena. Spent much of the 1999/2000 season on loan to Larne.
Stuart McClean - 17 year old youth product. He played very few reserve team games, before breaking into the first team in the 1999/2000 season and gaining a regular spot. Very promising prospect, who has not looked out of his depth in the centre of the midfield. Likes to get the ball down and play intelligent passing football.
Ciaran Duffin - Midfielder, signed in January 2001 from Second Division Moyola Park. Previously an apprentice with Tottenham Hotspur. He plays on the right, or centrally and has gone straight into the first team.
Kieran Kane - Signed in February 2001, he is a central midfielder or right-back. A current Northern Ireland under 18 international, who was previously with Carrick Rangers.
Eddie Hill (RM) - Eddie is a local lad and joined from Lisburn Distillery in December 1999. Can play upfront although his pace and ability to cross the ball makes hima surperb right winger.
Terry Tennyson - 21 year old central midfielder, recruited from Ballymena United in February 2001
Jamsie Kirk (CM) - Nicknamed Kirker, Jamsie is 37 years of age and is the comrades longest serving player over a 3 period spell. Currently captains the team and plays as a tough tackling midfieder.
Keith Millar (CM/RM) - Versatile player who can play in the centre or right hand side of midfield. He is a regular first team squad member.
Tom McCourt (CF) - Experienced striker who joined in September 2000. He is 31 years old and is 6'2" tall.
Innes Gray (CF) - 27 year old striker who arrived at the club from Cliftonville Reserves. Pocesses good strength up front. Recently won the Player Of The Round in the bass Irish Cup for his two goals that knocked out his former club Cliftonville F.C.
Ronald Burns - 17 year old youth product who has gone directly into the first team squad this year. Highly promising striker. He is Gary Burns' brother. Current Northern Ireland under 18 international.
